In Workshop 2: Communicating the Story with Sohail Inayatullah, the 3 hour session will help you to develop a climate change communication strategy by unpacking the politics of how issues are framed and policies created. Sohail will look at multiple views of climate change: the official description, the system, the multiple worldviews and the underlying inner stories and show you how all these perspectives assist in leading to policy change. Join Sohail to discover a new story, a new worldview and new systemic behavioural changes to accompany your own climate change story which helps others vision an alternative future. ASC has collaborated with The International Association for Public Participation Australasia and the Sydney Environmental Educators Network to present this series of 3 innovative workshops with 3 leading practitioners during August and September 2010.
The series is designed for anyone working in the area of climate change communication, policy, education and engagement and is hosted by the Powerhouse Museum as part of the Ultimo Science Festival.
Cost: $110 for IAP2, AAEE and ASC members, students and NGOs, $220 other non-members (incl GST).
